Happy 1st Father's Day!

A couple weeks late, but here are some images of Maddy and Tony on his first father's day. Maddy had a cute little outfit to wear to church and made daddy a special tie that he could wear too. It was such a great day.

Tony has been such a wonderful father to Madeline. I feel so lucky everyday to have such a great husband who is such an amazing father. He can change diapers, fix bottles, sing songs he makes up himself, make Maddy laugh, is a great story teller, and so much more. He is always thinking of his family, and puts us first before anything. We love him so much! Thanks Tony for all you do!

Madeline's Blessing Day

June 1st was Maddy's blessing day. It was such an amazing and wonderful day for our family. Tony gave Maddy a beautiful blessing and was so proud to show her off to everyone at church. It was so cute when he went up on the stand to hold her up so everyone could see her. She was so good and just looked around at everyone with the biggest eyes.

Maddy was sooo beautiful in her blessing dress. Both grandmas did so much work to make it. I wish I had the patience and talent they do. I have never seen anything so beautiful. I helped a little too. I sewed on the buttons. (=

We were also sooo excited that finally Tony's parents came to church. It was their first time ever, and they were so cute. Everyone was so excited to meet them!

Once again we are so grateful to all our friends and family who support us in everything we do. We love you all and feel so blessing to have you in our lives! Here are just some of you who shared our special day with us...

Goodbye Aunt Amy and Uncle Rob!

So my sister Amy and her husband Rob moved to Arizona Monday. Everyone misses them so much and can't wait for them to move back after they realize it is way to hot out there and no one can live without Disneyland! (= Madeline had so much fun with Aunt Amy before she left, she misses her sooo much!

Bathtime!

Maddy's favorite time of the day is bathtime. She loves to lick the water running down her face. It is hilarious!

Maddy Goes Swimming!

Maddy LOVES the pool and everything with water. She was the happiest baby in the world when we took her in our spa. (Don't worry, it wasn't hot). She was so comfy she fell asleep in Amy's arms. It was sooo cute. I just love this little swimsuit I found for her at Gymboree. (=

Handprints

So we had to get more handprints and torcher our poor little Maddy a couple more times. Daddy and Grandpa had to put Maddy's hand in theirs. Here are a few shots of Daddy and Grandpa Nuttall making their impressions with Maddy.

Jalapenos

So we finally took Maddy to our favorite restaurant in the world. She was so excited to get the food, she had to hold our number. If anyone hasn't been to Jalapenos, you are missing out. But, you have to go to the Tustin one, it's the only one that we really love. It's older and more authentic. I don't know why, but the food taste sooo much better here than all the other Jalapenos.

Madeline's First Shot

Maddy got her first shot yesterday. It was so sad! She was being so good and sweet all day. She was laying on the doctors table looking at me being so cute when the shot went in. Suddenly she got this surprised look before her lower lip folded over and she gave the saddest cry in the world. At least they gave her this sweet snoopy band-aid. Poor Maddy!

Madeline 12 days old

I finally took another portrait of Maddy. Here she is 12 days old. Her aunt Amy got her the dress which was so cute and fun to put on her, since she has only fit her PJ's until now. She is finally fitting into some of her Newborn size clothes. Who ever thought we'd have such a little baby. Her cute hair flower was a gift from our friend Kelly. Soo cute! I'll try to take some more pics once Maddy lets mommy get some sleep! (=

Maddy's First Portrait by Mommy

Here is Madeline at 5 days old. She rarely opens her eyes since her favorite thing to do is sleep, but when she does she is sooo cute we try to keep her awake as long as we can. We never knew we could love someone so much.

Here are a few of Tony's favorite shots. Here is Maddy's famous face she makes all the time which we think is so hilarious. Tony especially loves it when she does this for him. He can't get enough of baby Madeline. Tony is the best father and husband ever and has been so helpful and loving. We are very lucky to have him in our family.

A gift for Maddy from her Aunt Katie

Here is Maddy showing off her first piece of jewelry, a tiny little bracelet which was sent all the way from Puerto Rico from our good friend Katie Hatch. We got it in the mail just in time for her to wear it the day she was born. All the nurses thought it was the cutest ever. We love it too! Thanks Katie!

Madeline Paige Nguyen born April 12, 2008

Baby Madeline was born Saturday April 12 at 2:28 in the afternoon after only 4 1/2 hours of labor. She was only 7lbs 13 ounces and 20.5 inches long. She was alot smaller than the 9 pounds we expected. It was such an amazing experience, it didn't seem real at first. But here she is, we love more than anything. We think she is the cutest baby in the world! Check out her first portrait. (=

Maddy's Birthday is scheduled for April 12th!

We just found out from the doctor that we are going to have our baby this Saturday! We are so excited. I think that she must be a big baby, because the doctor was not planning on inducing us at all. And now we get to have her a little early, which I am very grateful for. She is estimated to weigh between 8.5-9 lbs. So we will see. The doctor always asks "How tall are you again?", which makes me think she is going to be big. We are very excited...we will be going to the hospital at 5:30am Saturday morning, be in labor all day, and hopefully have the baby out by 6pm (the doctor said). So we will keep everyone updated. Just wanted to share the good news!

The Chapman Family Portraits

Last week I photographed our friends, The Chapmans. They are an amazing family. They were so much fun and so full of life. It was really fun to see them together and how happy they were to just spend time with one another. We got some amazing images. Mommy Heather has been going through alot this last year and is truly an inspiration to so many people. She is such a wonderful mother and is always laughing. Someone everyone would love to be around. They are in our prayers!

This was the last ultrasound where her head could fit into the picture. She is a big baby as the doctors have said. Just like her daddy wanted.

The Wonderful Nguyens First Blog site

Finally we are bloggers! We had to succumb to all the pier pressure and jump on the band wagon with everyone else. Especially since we are very excited to announce the arrival of our first baby girl Madeline in 2 weeks ( hopefully less!). We will need somewhere to show off all Madeline's photo debuts! Hopefully she will learn to like being the daughter of a photographer and love having her picture taken. Though she has shown only her camera-shy personality in every ultrasound she has ever had, putting her hands over her face, not moving at all until after the ultrasound, or sucking her thumb. Hopefully she'll grow out of that before she arrives. (=
